Chloe Takara Simpson (she/her)

I am a graduating senior at the University of California, Los Angeles in the International Institute. My specific areas of interest are around human rights and abolitionist praxis with a guiding belief in the transformative power of people and community against oppression. Much of my interest and inquiry stems from Michel Foucault’s work on power and control and how this informs our understanding and reality. I believe that elevating the discourse on these topics through artistic mediums, such as collage, is a powerful and informative practice.
