We recently had a change in paradigm.
From our beginnings in 2020, we have endeavored to publish Breathe on a schedule, originally monthly and this year weekly. For the most part we’ve been able to do that, but our personal life priorities have occasionally challenged us and the schedule has come in second. We set a publication schedule as if we were all going to meet in the same place at the same time. In the physical world that is useful. But the internet has made time and space fluid.
Breathe can be viewed anywhere, as long as you have access to the internet. You can visit the site the day we publish or five to six years later. In fact the top viewed posts this year were originally posted in July of 2022 and February of 2021! Breathe provides access to everything we have published going back to the first issue in June 2020.
Our paradigm shift means we are saying goodbye to our self-imposed schedule and will publish when we have enough good material and our personal lives allow it. We will continue to alert you when a new issue is published through our email list. We continue to look forward to publishing Breathe and considering your wide variety of submitted artistic works including visual art, poems, essays, performed songs, photos, op-eds and more.
Our self-imposed schedule is dead. Long live Breathe!
